A Houthi leader admits his group's exploitation of the Gaza war and reveals the scandals of Abdul-Malik al-Houthi's office

The so-called member of the Supreme Political Council of the Houthi militia, Sultan Al-Sami, admitted that his group is exploiting the Palestinian issue to circumvent popular demands and escape the boiling and escalating anger against it.
Sultan Al-Sami, one of the leaders directly linked to Iran, confirmed that the de facto authority in areas controlled by the Houthi militias is formal, and it does not know “who will appoint the ministers.”
Al-Sami'i's confessions came during a session of the unrecognized House of Representatives in Sana'a, the details of which were revealed by the representative opposing the militia, Ahmed Saif Hashid, on social media.
In an explicit acknowledgment of the Houthis’ exploitation of the ongoing war in Gaza to achieve internal and external gains, at the expense of the Yemenis, Al-Sami’i, a member of the illegitimate parliament, said after swearing to God twice that: “If it had not been for the Palestinian issue and what Al-Sayyid did - in reference to the attacks On the ships - the people would have eaten you and all of us.”
Al-Sami’i also launched a major attack on the Minister of Industry and Trade in the unrecognized Sana’a government, “Muhammad Sharaf Al-Mutahhar,” saying: “Who appointed this minister, we do not know, and he is wanted for trial.”
Al-Sami’i confirmed that the militia leader, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, and his office staff control state institutions, implicitly by saying that “we in the presidency (the Supreme Political Council of the Houthis - formally possessing all the powers of the President of the Republic) do not know who appointed him?!”
Al-Sami’i also revealed the truth about the slogans raised by the group regarding the boycott of American and Israeli goods, blaming Minister Al-Mutahhar, as he said, “This minister (who was present at the session) allows smugglers to enter Israeli and American goods,” adding, “The House of Representatives must form a committee.” You go to the warehouses and grocery stores to see the American and Israeli goods there.”
Al-Sami’i referred to Al-Mutahhar’s takeover of the Chamber of Commerce in Sana’a, which occurred in June last year, explaining that “the minister ended and seized control of the Chamber of Commerce in Sana’a, and there is a ruling from the Constitutional Court to remove him and his friends from the Chamber of Commerce.”
He added: “This person before you - meaning the minister - has refused to rule and is doing everything that serves the enemy and other countries.. Why?! We don’t know.”
Al-Sami’i pointed out that Minister Al-Mutahhar “delisted many agencies (commercial and import companies) that were older than his age, and handed them over to smugglers.”
He added: “I found people crying in the streets, and saying that they had canceled our agencies, and handed them over to so-and-so and so-and-so people. You come and see so-and-so people, and you see their history, and you find them to be old smugglers.”
The Houthi House of Representatives had previously withdrawn confidence from Minister Al-Mutahhar, but the person controlling the reins of affairs in those areas canceled the decision and did not even allow it to be recorded in the minutes of the sessions, according to what Hashid published.
