Arrest of activists who called on the Houthi militia to open roads

Iran's Houthi militias arrested a number of activists on social media who demanded that they open roads in areas under their control.
Local sources and activists reported that the Houthi militia raided a number of the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, and arrested social media activists on the grounds of publishing leaflets calling on the group's leadership to open roads and stop procrastinating, maneuvering, and creating pretexts to continue restrictions on citizens.
It confirmed that armed groups affiliated with the Houthi militia carried out a campaign of arrests of activists in the north and south of Sana’a following the escalation of popular discontent with the militias’ neglectful and intransigent stance towards popular demands to open roads and respond to the government initiative and the Presidential Leadership Council.
She pointed out that the Houthi leadership’s intransigent position on the demands of opening roads sparked a widespread atmosphere of discontent in Sana’a, which emerged as manifestations of condemnation such as the phrases “Oh Houthi, open the road” and “If he is willing to open the road, will he raise the salaries?” which raises the lid on Houthi intransigence.
