The Security Belt forces in the central region of Abyan Governorate were able today to thwart the smuggling of dozens of illegal African immigrants, who were on their way to areas controlled by the Houthi militias.
An operational source in the Lawdar belt sector explained that members of the security belt in the Al-Hudn area were able to detain three civilian crews loaded with many illegal African immigrants.
The source added that the Belt Forces in the Lawdar sector thwarted the smuggling operation of migrants via the road (Al-Hadhan - Upper Egypt - and then Silat Al-Bayda northwest of the district, which leads to the Yemeni Al-Bayda Governorate, which is controlled by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.
The source explained that preliminary investigations revealed that the smugglers received large sums of money in exchange for smuggling Africans to places controlled by the Houthi militias, indicating that they were referred to the governorate to complete investigations and find out who was behind them.
This seizure operation comes after the heroes of our forces and the southern resistance this afternoon suppressed sources of enemy fire on the Thara front, and monitoring crowds and military movements of the Houthi militias on the walls of the Imhalhel and Tharrah fronts.
