A former security belt leader accused of murder was arrested

Yesterday evening, a force from the Giants Brigades arrested the former commander of the Security Belt Forces, Sheikh Othman Alaa Al-Mashriqi, and a coercive arrest warrant was issued against him.
Sources said that Al-Mashriqi was arrested by a force affiliated with the Giants Brigades at the Iron Factory point, where he was transferred to a detention center.
Al-Mashriqi is facing direct charges for the killing of the young man, Amir Mihdhar Al-Kaldi, in the sewage line in Sheikh Othman months ago. An arrest warrant was issued against him by the prosecution, and he fled towards Al-Habilain, before being arrested.
Al-Mashriqi’s arrest comes after his escape from justice and his refusal to surrender himself to the security authorities who accuse him of premeditated killing of a citizen passing through the line.
