The planning team preparation workshop at the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training, which was organized by the Ministry in partnership with the National Committee for Culture and Science and with the support of the UNESCO Office - Doha, was concluded today, in the presence of A. Abd Rabbuh Ghanem Al-Mahwali, Deputy Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training.

Al-Muhali urged the trainees to make the most of the workshop and reflect everything they gained from it on the nature of their work. He also stressed the Ministry’s endeavor to continue qualifying the team in a way that ensures their optimal qualification.

Badour Shukr, Prof. Dr. Khaled Omar Baslim, Undersecretary for the Educational Affairs Sector, UNESCO Office, and the National Commission for Culture and Science, for their support in organizing the workshop and forming the Ministry’s planning team, stressing the importance of the role of planning for the success of any institution.

During the workshop, on the first day, the trainees discussed international changes and their impact on higher education and technical education, as well as discussing criteria for effective planning and identifying priorities and needs for planning in crises.

On the second day, the trainees learned about planning and its importance and discussed the needs of the planning team for training programs that support the planning program. The trainees also learned about the necessary specifications for the constructive planning team.

On the third and final day, the trainees discussed the mechanisms and criteria for forming the team and determining the training needs of the team. A final review and evaluation of the workshop was also conducted, and follow-up steps were determined to implement the next training program.

At the conclusion of the course, the trainees expressed their thanks to those who organized and supported the workshop, wishing for the continuation and expansion of the training program to include all aspects that enable them to be able to plan efficiently and competently.
