A citizen stabbed his wife and her mother in the Habeesh Junction area in Al-Makhader District, north of Ibb Governorate (central Yemen), days after a similar crime in which three women were victims.

Local sources explained that the stabbing occurred as a result of family disputes, while the two injured people were transferred to a hospital in Ibb city in critical condition.

The crime came days after a Houthi gunman, named Haitham Muhammad Ali Al-Ashawi, from the Ahalem area in the Bani Saif Al-Aali district in Al-Qafar District in Ibb Governorate, shot dead his wife, his daughter, his aunt, his wife’s mother, and his aunt, his father’s sister, while they were serving him lunch at his house. He fled after committing the crime, taking advantage of the military uniform he carried as he was a militia member
