Formal efforts to launch financial support for furloughed employees

A meeting held in the temporary capital, Aden, today, which included the Minister of Finance, Salem Ben Brik, the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari, and the Deputy President of the Supreme Court and Chairman of the Committee of Civil, Military and Security Employees Expelled from their Jobs in the Southern Governorates, Judge Sahl Hamza, discussed the launch of the financial reinforcement. To address the issues of employees dismissed from their jobs, in accordance with Cabinet Resolution No. (28) of 2023.
The meeting, which included Deputy Minister of Finance Hani Wahab, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance for the Regulation and Government Accounting Sector, Khaled Al-Yarimi, and Director of the Officers Affairs Department at the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Ali Obaid, touched on the efforts made to address the issues of deported employees, which culminated in the Council of Ministers approving the financial strengthening. To address the issues of dismissed employees, and to issue presidential decisions starting from Resolution No. (42) to Resolution No. (62), according to which more than 62 thousand grievances were addressed for employees dismissed from their civilian, military, and security jobs.
The meeting stressed the need to redouble the efforts of all concerned official authorities and work to complete the financial strengthening of deported employees and disburse their financial dues, out of concern to alleviate their living suffering in light of the difficult circumstances the country is experiencing.
