The Anti-Electronic Blackmail Unit in the capital, Aden, successfully dismantled a case of electronic blackmail, as it was able to arrest an electronic blackmailer who threatened his ex-wife by publishing her private photos on social media in exchange for a sum of money estimated at $3,000.

This step came after the complainant submitted a complaint to the Anti-Electronic Extortion Unit about being blackmailed by her ex-husband. Immediately after the unit received the report, it began investigations and collected the necessary information in coordination with the complainant.

After the investigation and follow-up process, the unit was able to arrest the accused (S.J.F), who frankly confessed to his crime. He will be referred to the competent authorities to complete deterrent legal measures against him.
