Two young men were treacherously killed by Houthi militants in the Yemeni Al-Jawf Governorate

Two tribesmen were treacherously killed at the hands of Houthi militants in Al-Jawf Governorate (northeastern Yemen), after they tried to recover a citizen’s car that had been looted by the militants.
Local sources said that Houthi militants from the Dahm-Bani Hatban tribe killed last Monday the citizens Yahya bin Ali Rassam al-Hatbani and Hamad bin Firas Rassam al-Hatbani, who belonged to the same tribe.
The sources added that the incident occurred after the two citizens communicated with the Houthi gunmen in an attempt to recover a citizen’s car that had been stolen by them, and that the gunmen opened fire on them without warning.
The directorates of Al-Jawf Governorate, which are largely controlled by the Houthi militia, suffer from the spread of the phenomenon of fragmentation, looting and killing at the hands of armed gangs affiliated with the militia or enjoying its protection.
