The Prime Minister receives the American ambassador

The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak, received today, Saturday, the United States Ambassador to Yemen, Stephen Fagin, where they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and developments in the situation in Yemen and the region.
The efforts made by the government and the challenges it faces at the economic and development levels were also reviewed, and the American support provided to Yemen in a number of fields, especially with regard to building the capabilities of national institutions and their workers.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the region and Yemen, and the Prime Minister renewed the government’s condemnation of the continued brutal acts of the Israeli occupation against civilians in the Gaza Strip... stressing the need to make all possible efforts to stop the war of extermination waged by the occupation army against the Palestinian people.
p>The Prime Minister touched on developments in the situation in the Red Sea in light of the terrorist Houthi militias’ targeting of the ship “Rubimar”... warning of a major environmental disaster with the crisis cell formed by the government announcing the sinking of the ship, due to the Houthi militias’ insistence on sinking it, and the failure of the ship’s owners. About cooperation with the Yemeni government... calling on the international community to take practical and urgent action and form an international emergency cell to save the Red Sea and address the environmental disaster resulting from the sinking of the ship.
For his part, the American ambassador reviewed the efforts that his country is making to ease regional tensions and support the peace process in Yemen. He reiterated his country’s position in support of the Presidential Command Council and the Yemeni government, and for the security, unity and stability of Yemen.
