Al-Mahra.. Popular anger over the chanting of Houthi slogans at a demonstration by Brotherhood members in Al-Ghaydah

Al-Mahra Governorate is witnessing a massive wave of anger after the Brotherhood and the so-called sit-in committee chanted Houthi slogans and extremist ideas during activities claiming solidarity with the Palestinian cause last Friday.
Activists circulated on social media a video showing Houthi armed elements shouting in the streets of Al-Ghaydah District, confirming the presence of sleeper cells operating with the help of the Brotherhood and the sit-in committee.
The people of Al-Mahra Governorate expressed their categorical rejection of these actions, considering them a political exploitation of the Palestinian issue and an attempt to spread Houthi ideas and separate Al-Mahra from its moderate religious identity, condemning these developments and affirming their rejection of any actions that would destabilize security and stability in the governorate.
Popular anger in Mahra over the chanting of Houthi slogans and the growing influence of extremist groups, which confirms the need for the government and local authorities to move to stop these practices, prevent the spread of extremist ideas, and ensure security and stability in the governorate.
