Minister of Defense: International pressure on the legitimate government to prevent the liberation of Hodeidah has affected everyone

The Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Mohammed Al-Daari, met today in the capital, Aden, with the military advisor to the UN envoy, Anthony Hayward, and the accompanying delegation to discuss international efforts to establish a mechanism for a permanent ceasefire in light of the Houthi escalation and its targeting of ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
During the meeting, the Minister of Defense indicated that the government and the Presidential Command Council support sustainable peace that meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people and restores their state in accordance with the relevant international resolutions, pointing out that the Houthi militias reject peace, turn against agreements and charters, and flee to military escalation and war at every turn that leads to... Bring peace.
Lieutenant General Al-Daari explained that the terrorist Houthi militia continued its hostile actions towards the positions of the armed forces and the mobilization of fighters on various fronts, not to mention targeting commercial ships and maritime navigation routes in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden to implement an Iranian agenda and increase tension in the region.
The Minister of Defense confirmed the increase in the pace of smuggling Iranian weapons in large quantities to the terrorist Houthi militia after the opening of the port of Hodeidah, indicating that international pressure on the legitimate government to prevent the liberation of Hodeidah has consumed everyone.
Minister Al-Daari pointed to the imminent environmental catastrophe after the sinking of the Rubinar ship, which was targeted by the terrorist Houthi militia due to the harmful materials it carries for the marine environment and fishermen, recalling the Safer oil tanker, which the militias used as a blackmail card for the international community for years.
For his part, the military advisor to the envoy reviewed the proposals for a permanent ceasefire mechanism in preparation for moving to any future settlement, regardless of the current developments in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, which led to a slowdown in the road map around which the discussions are taking place.
