A meeting in Aden discusses converting generating stations from diesel to diesel to reduce costs

A member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Abu Zaraa Al-Muharami, held an expanded meeting today in his office in Ma’ashiq Palace in the capital, Aden, which included the Minister of Electricity and Energy, Eng. Mana bin Yameen, and First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Electricity Eng. Abdul Hakim Fadel, and Eng. Mujib Al-Shaabi, Director General of the General Electricity Corporation, and a number of the ministry’s leadership.
At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Muharrami welcomed the attendees, praising the role of the leadership of the Ministry and its employees and the General Electricity Corporation in order to improve the service by reducing losses and increasing and raising the collection rate to high levels, indicating that the Ministry of Electricity and all its employees face a front no less important than other fronts. Fighting.
Al-Muharrami was briefed on the efforts made by the Ministry of Electricity to address the crisis of continuous power outages, and the plans developed by the Ministry to reduce blackout hours during the holy month of Ramadan.
Al-Muharrami listened to a detailed report on the efforts of the Ministry and the Corporation to raise the generating capabilities of electrical energy within the limits of available capabilities, and ways to enhance the reality of generation and raise efficiency, in addition to the progress of completion of the energy discharge project at the President Electrical Station, which is expected to be completed in the coming weeks. And plans to operate the station at its full production capacity.
The meeting discussed the mechanism of converting generation stations from diesel to mazut, in order to achieve a reduction in the cost of purchasing fuel, provide more energy to the generators, in addition to reducing the environmental damage resulting from the combustion of the stations’ fuel.
The meeting touched on the importance of the solar energy station provided by the United Arab Emirates, whose gradual entry into the electrical system of the capital was launched today, as the first strategic project for clean and renewable energy.
Al-Muharrami directed the Ministry of Electricity to quickly reach an understanding with the purchased energy companies that agreed to switch from diesel to diesel and to facilitate all procedures according to the applicable systems. Emphasizing his full support for the Ministry and his readiness to overcome all difficulties and obstacles that stand in the way of its work and perform its duty to the fullest.
