Aden.. The civil service sets working hours during the holy month of Ramadan for government agencies

The Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance in the legitimate Yemeni government issued, today, Monday, a circular regarding working hours in government agencies during the holy month of Ramadan of the year 1445 AH, in response to a request from the General Administration of Civil Service in the temporary capital, Aden.
The circular obtained by “Scope 24” stated that working hours are commensurate with the current and changing circumstances, and in the interest of work and employees, as follows:
- Working hours will be reduced to (5) hours per day, starting at ten in the morning and ending at three in the afternoon.
- Units for which the previous timing does not suit the nature of their work can determine the appropriate timing for them in coordination with the Ministry, provided that the working hours are not less than (5) hours.
- Human resources managers in the central authority units in Aden prepare daily attendance and absence reports during Ramadan and send them to the Oversight and Performance Evaluation Sector at the Ministry’s office according to the forms attached to the circular.
- The Oversight and Performance Evaluation Sector takes the necessary measures to ensure that entities adhere to the working hours specified in the circular.
- Civil service offices in the governorates carry out inspection campaigns on local authority offices and central authority units within their geographical scope, prepare reports on the results of the inspection and send them to the Oversight and Performance Evaluation Sector in the Ministry’s office according to the forms attached to the circular.
The Ministry concluded its statement by congratulating the political leadership and the Yemeni people on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
