Warning of a “terrifying scenario.” Will more ships be sunk to close Bab al-Mandab and Hormuz?

A Yemeni political analyst and researcher warned of a terrifying scenario, with the new developments in the Red Sea, and the continued Houthi threats in this regard.
The Yemeni researcher, Abdul Salam Muhammad, head of the Abaad Center for Studies, asked: “Will more ships be sunk to close the Bab al-Mandab and Hormuz straits? Who will benefit and lose if this terrifying scenario comes true?”
The Houthis had previously threatened to close a “complete” closure of the Bab al-Mandab Strait, in a statement by the official of the so-called Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the unrecognized Houthi coup government, Hussein al-Ezzi, last month.
The researcher said in a blog post, “What the Houthis did recently was to make the waterway from the Arabian Sea to the Red Sea an Iranian lake par excellence.”
He added: “The truth confirmed by Al-Houthi is that there is no security for international trade corridors from the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Gulf, through the Gulf of Aden and Bab al-Mandab, all the way to the Red Sea, the Suez Canal, and the Gulf of Aqaba without a strong state called the Republic of Yemen.”
A few days ago, the British ship "Robimar" sank in the southern Red Sea, after the Houthis bombed it two weeks ago, with two guided missiles, carrying 41 thousand tons of high-grade fertilizers, diesel, and other chemicals.
