On Tuesday, Sheikh Othman Police arrested a gang specialized in robbing commercial stores in the Sheikh Othman District in the capital, Aden.
Sheikh Othman Police Director, Colonel Abdo Nayeq, said that they received reports from a number of owners of stores and electronic devices, especially mobile phone stores, about their stores being robbed by unknown gangs.
The Sheikh Police Director indicated that he assigned search and investigation teams led by the Deputy Sheikh Police Commander, Captain Alaa Badr, to arrest the malicious hands and gangs involved in illegally looting citizens’ money and property.
He added: After monitoring, investigating, and following up on surveillance cameras with the camera team, the defendants were monitored, their movements were monitored, and they were arrested. They were in possession of a number of mobile phones, knives, and sharp tools that were used to open doors in professional and dangerous ways.
He stated that the defendants confessed to committing a number of theft crimes after they opened a number of mobile phone store doors and stole approximately 43 mobile phones of different values, shapes and types, and they were in possession of a number of mobile phones that led to their arrest.
He confirmed that they have opened an investigation report into the crime, and the accused will be investigated, and as soon as the procedures are completed, they will be transferred to the competent authorities to be punished in accordance with the law and order.
