A child dies due to a medical error in Aden, and his family demands the formation of a specialized medical committee

The family of the child Abdulaziz Aseel Muhammad Al-Issai, who died on February 11, 2024 due to a medical error in a hospital in Aden, demands the formation of a specialized medical committee to determine the cause of death.
In the details of the case, the family said that the three-year-old child, Abdulaziz, suffered from fever and sore throat on January 30, 2024, and was given an antibiotic injection in an Aden hospital, despite the appearance of allergy symptoms. The child’s condition worsened, and Symptoms of redness and sensitivity on all areas of his body. His condition was theoretically diagnosed as herpes fever without conducting an agricultural blood test. He was hospitalized for 9 days, where he received medications and fluids. Symptoms of bloating appeared in parts of his body, and it was found that there was fluid around the lungs and liver. And the heart, and he was admitted to intensive care, but he died on February 11, 2024.
The coroner’s procrastination
The child's family accuses the coroner in Aden of procrastinating in issuing the cause of death report. The coroner refused to autopsy the body and requested a memorandum from the Public Prosecution to approve the autopsy. After sending the memorandum, the coroner again refused to autopsy the body and said that there was no need for an autopsy. The coroner issued a report that did not specify the cause of death.
Demands of the child's family
The child's family demands the formation of a specialized medical committee to determine the cause of death, and demands that Attorney General Qaher Mustafa send a memorandum to the coroner to form this committee. It also calls on public opinion and all free Yemenis, journalists, and social media celebrities to stand by it.
