Washington vows to "hold accountable" the Houthis for their recent attack on a cargo ship

The United States pledged on Wednesday to hold the Houthis in Yemen accountable for the attack that targeted a cargo tanker, resulting in the death of two people.
State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told reporters, "We will continue to hold them accountable. We call on governments around the world to do the same."
Agence France-Presse had quoted an American official earlier today, Wednesday, as saying that the crew of the targeted ship in the Gulf of Aden reported that two people were killed in the missile attack.
In solidarity with the Gaza Strip, the Ansar Allah group (Houthis) is targeting cargo ships in the Red Sea owned and operated by Israeli companies that transport goods to and from Israel, according to the group’s statements.
In response, the United States and its allies formed a military force to deal with the Houthi strikes, as American and British aircraft had previously launched numerous strikes on various areas in Yemen.
The United States launches almost daily strikes to eliminate Houthi targets, while the "Ansar Allah" group (Houthis) targets cargo ships in the Red Sea owned and operated by Israeli companies that transport goods to and from Israel, in solidarity with the Gaza Strip.
