Hadhramaut teachers carry out a protest in front of the Education Department in Hadhramaut Coast to demand their rights

This morning, teachers of the Hadhramaut Coast carried out a protest in front of the General Administration Gate of the Ministry of Education office in the Hadhramaut Coast to demand the rights of permanent and contract teachers, and to improve their living conditions.
During the pause, the teachers demanded that all their salaries, “permanent and contractual,” be paid on a regular basis, and that the salary be enhanced and supported in light of the high cost of living, in line with fluctuations in the exchange rate of the local currency against foreign currency, and the adoption of annual bonuses and adjustments retroactively, for all members of the educational sector since It stopped in 2011.
Dozens of male and female teachers participated in the protest to confirm that escalation steps are continuing to extract their rights through legal and legitimate means, calling on the government and local authorities to quickly fulfill promises made to the educational staff in the governorate.
Hadhramaut Governorate has been witnessing a comprehensive strike in schools and educational centers for nearly two months in the absence of the Ministry of Education and the local authority in the governorate from developing solutions to the demands of teachers.
