The administration of the General Water Corporation in Al Dhalea Governorate sent a report to the leadership of the local authority, the Transitional Council, the security services in the governorate, and to local public opinion, in which it announced the cessation of water pumping to the beneficiary areas, starting on Thursday, March 7, 2024 AD, due to what the report described as “attacks.” Frequently used at the main pumping station in the Hajar area.

The corporation said that work stopped permanently at the targeted main station in the Hajar area after it was attacked for the third time by a group of citizens without any legal justification, and under the pretext of pressuring the local authorities to release detainees, whom the security authorities had arrested in connection with other cases. .

The Dhalea Water Corporation explained that the targeting had previously occurred more than once by the same people, as the Corporation informed the security authorities to arrest them at the time without taking any measures, which encouraged them to repeat the attack on the water project for the third time in a row.

The management of the Water Corporation appealed to the concerned authorities in the governorate to quickly intervene and develop radical solutions to all acts of sabotage that target the water sector and harm the interests of the citizen, stressing the need to stand firmly against everyone who contributes to harming the water project, which is a lifeline for citizens.
