The Governor of Hadramaut reviews the activity of the Mukalla Iron and Steel Company factory

The Governor of Hadhramaut, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, was briefed today in Mukalla on the volume of manufacturing production at the Mukalla Iron and Steel Company Limited “Misk Steel”, which is the largest factory specialized in the manufacture of rebar in Yemen with a production capacity of 350 thousand tons annually in all sizes requested. Local market.
The Governor of Hadhramaut learned from the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Sheikh Omar Abdul Rahman Bajrash, about the components of the factory, which operates automatically with German technology and 80% national labor, and he made sustainable architecture his lofty goal to participate in the reconstruction of the country and strengthen the national economy with a sovereign industry.
The General Director of Misk Steel, Dr. Ahmed Barian, reviewed the industrial path in which the factory obtained the international quality certificate “ISO” and the challenges that the factory overcame in achieving the vision of reconstruction and contributing with state institutions in achieving the recovery that everyone seeks, noting the factory’s keenness. To fulfill its societal responsibility in providing support services to the surrounding community during crises such as Hurricane “Tej” and the “Corona pandemic” and supplying hospitals in the governorates of Hadramaut, Al-Mahra, Shabwa, Socotra, and Ma’rib with oxygen cylinders.
During the meeting held at the company's headquarters after the field tour, Governor Bin Madi praised the volume of manufacturing, which covers 40% of the national need with specifications competitive with imported iron.
The Governor of Hadhramaut affirmed the local authority’s support for investment in all industrial fields and encouraging the continuation of the iron industry in Hadhramaut, which enhances its development balance in the field of encouraging the attraction of capital to invest in the governorate in a stable economic and security atmosphere, praising the company’s facility, which is a source of pride for Hadhramaut. At the national level, it offers competitive products with international technical specifications that contribute to the reconstruction of the country.
The governor was accompanied during his tour by the governor’s deputy for technical affairs, Engineer Amin Barzeq, the general director of the office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the Hadhramaut coast, Ahmed Hassan Baoum, the general director of the public works and roads office, engineer Saleh Al-Omari, and the deputy director general of security and police, Colonel Salah Al-Mashjari.
