Hodeidah.. A demonstration denouncing the dangers of the sinking of the "Robimar" and demanding the prosecution of the Houthis and the ship's owners

Today, Saturday, the city of Al-Khokha (the temporary center of Hodeidah Governorate) witnessed a massive protest to denounce the dangers of sinking the ship "Rubimar", which was targeted by the Houthis in the middle of last month in the Red Sea off the coast of Yemen.
The local authority media said, in a statement, that thousands of people from the governorate gathered in the city of Al-Khokha, with the participation of the governor of the governorate, Dr. Hassan Taher, and civil society organizations, and in the remarkable presence of the affected fishermen.
According to the statement, the protesters denounced "the dangers of sinking the ship "Rubimar", which was targeted by the terrorist Houthi militias, carrying 41 thousand tons of fertilizers, highly dangerous materials, oils and petroleum fuel for the ship, and its impact on the lives of fishermen and the marine environment."
The protesters expressed their rejection of the Houthi militia turning their fishing areas into a theater of international conflict in favor of Iran, and they chanted slogans calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities and its legal and moral duty to quickly address the disaster of the shipwreck of the “Rubimar” ship, and to guarantee the freedom of fishing and the protection of fishermen.
In a statement issued by the event, the protesters called on the Presidential Command Council and the government to sue the countries and companies concerned with the ship Rubimar, and to establish special funds to support and assist fishermen affected by the terrorist actions of the Houthi militia.
They also called for "intensifying pressure to classify the Houthi militia as a global terrorist group, as well as forming a legal team to file lawsuits to prosecute the leaders of the Houthi militias and the countries that support and embrace them."
The statement stressed the need to cancel the Stockholm Agreement to liberate the entire Hodeidah Governorate, explaining that “supporting legitimacy to restore its sovereignty over its lands, coasts and territorial waters is the only way to protect the marine environment and end Houthi terrorism.”
Last Saturday, the Yemeni government announced the sinking of the British ship in the Red Sea, and held the Houthi militia “responsible for the environmental disaster, and the repercussions of its continued targeting of shipping ships and international shipping lines on the humanitarian situation in Yemen and the countries of the region, and the threat to international peace and security.”
