Urgent: Armed men hijack a ship off the coast of Somalia

Armed men hijacked a pilot ship 600 nautical miles east of Mogadishu, Somalia, on 12 March 2024 at 08:10 UTC.
According to a British authority, it said: The company’s security officer reported that the ship was attacked by multiple people from two ships, one large and one small, and that unauthorized persons are now controlling the ship.
The authority indicated that the crew was not harmed, but there were 22 unauthorized armed persons on board.
This is the second time a commercial ship has been hijacked after Houthi militants hijacked an Israeli cargo ship off the coast of Hodeidah last November.
