Today, Al-Mamdara police arrested an accused of killing his 65-year-old mother in their home in Al-Mamdara District in the capital, Aden.

Mamdara Police Director, Lieutenant Colonel Salah Sheikh Haidara, said, “The son reported the death of his mother to the police station after she hanged herself in mysterious circumstances.”

Adding that the security services went to the crime scene to inspect, investigate, and take witness statements, and after examining the body, they found traces of assault on the victim’s body.

Lieutenant Colonel Haidara confirmed that the security services arrested the son and interrogated him until he confessed to having committed the crime of killing his mother by hanging in her home, indicating that the investigation with the accused will continue to find out the causes of the crime and complete all legal procedures to refer him to the competent authorities.
