Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Abdul Rahman Al-Muharrami, stressed the need to intensify efforts and enhance communication with international organizations and donors, to support the health sector and achieve further improvements in hospitals, complexes and health centers in various governorates.

A member of the Leadership Council stressed, during his meeting today, in the interim capital, Aden, with the leadership of the Ministry of Public Health and Population, the importance of providing the health sector with competencies, expertise, and young people with academic qualifications, as well as holding workshops that contribute to strengthening health care services and raising the level of health education. In addition to the importance of providing the necessary medications for chronic diseases, with the aim of reducing the financial burden on patients and ensuring that they receive appropriate treatment.

The meeting, which included the Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qasim Buhaibah, and the ministry’s undersecretaries, discussed improving the health sector in various governorates, evaluating the services provided by the ministry to citizens, in addition to reviewing the ministry’s future plans in all sectors... touching on the most prominent challenges and difficulties that face it. The Ministry's work process is facing, primarily the deterioration of infrastructure and the shortage of staff, and ideas and proposals were exchanged about it to advance the health sector.

The member of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed, during the meeting, which comes within a series of meetings he is holding with officials in ministries and vital and service facilities, the continuation of the process of monitoring the work of government and private hospitals, and drug stores, and combating their smuggling with the relevant authorities, in addition to the commitment of pharmaceutical companies. With safety controls and standards during the process of importing and storing medicines to maintain their quality and effectiveness...again, the Presidential Leadership Council supported the ministry’s leadership to improve the health situation and alleviate the suffering of citizens.

For his part, the Minister of Public Health and Population appreciated the efforts and interest of the member of the Leadership Council, Muharrami, in the health sector, and his continuous support and support for the leadership of the Ministry and its offices in the governorates to provide better health care for citizens.
