The Expatriates Residential Association in Aden sent an urgent appeal to the leaders of the Presidential Council and the esteemed Yemeni government, aiming to reactivate the direct airlines of Yemen Airways between Yemen and the Arab Gulf countries, especially Doha, Qatar.

Subject: The return of direct transportation by Yemenia Airlines to the Arab Gulf countries, especially Doha

The Expatriates Residential Association in Aden submits an urgent appeal to you, aiming to reactivate the direct airlines of the Yemeni Airlines Company between Yemen and the Arab Gulf countries, especially Doha, Qatar.

This appeal comes out of our firm belief in the importance of the role of Yemeni expatriates in supporting the national economy, their close connection to their family and homeland, and their keenness to constantly communicate with their families and friends.

A large segment of Yemeni expatriates residing in the Arab Gulf states and Qatar suffer from great difficulties in traveling to Yemen, due to the cessation of direct flights by Yemen Airways years ago.

This segment is forced to travel on long and expensive transit trips, which places a large financial burden on them, hinders their ability to visit their families on a regular basis, and negatively affects the health of the elderly and the sick among them.

The Expatriates Residential Association confirms that reactivating the direct airlines of Yemen Airways between Aden - Doha and vice versa will contribute greatly to alleviating the suffering of Yemeni expatriates and enhancing communication between them and their families and homeland.

This step will also contribute to the development of the national economy, by increasing the volume of investments and financial remittances from expatriates, and attracting tourism from Qatar and the Arab Gulf countries.

In view of the above, we appeal to you, with all responsibility and diligence, to work to reactivate the direct airlines of Yemen Airways between Yemen, Qatar, and the Arab Gulf states as soon as possible.

We are fully confident that you will spare no effort in meeting this just demand, which meets the needs of a wide segment of our Yemeni people.
