Launching a campaign to remove construction waste and encroachments on the streets of Ataq

In implementation of the directives of the Governor of Shabwa Governorate, Chairman of the Local Council, Awad Muhammad bin Al-Wazir, the Office of Public Works and Roads in Shabwa Governorate launched, yesterday evening, a campaign to remove construction waste and remove obstacles and encroachments on some streets in the city of Ataq, the center of the governorate.
The campaign aims to improve the general appearance of the city and facilitate traffic, by removing construction waste accumulated on the sides of the roads, and removing obstacles and encroachments made by some citizens on pedestrian sidewalks and public roads, especially in the city’s side streets.
Engineer Awad Ahmed Ruwais, Director General of the Public Works and Roads Office in Shabwa Governorate, explained that this campaign comes within the directives of Governor Bin Al-Wazir to improve the city’s infrastructure and preserve its civilized appearance.
Engineer Awad Royce indicated that the campaign will include all the streets of the city of Ataq, and work will be done to remove all construction waste, obstacles and encroachments wherever they are found that hinder traffic and threaten the safety of citizens.
The Director General of Works called on all citizens to cooperate with the Office of Public Works and Roads to make this campaign a success, and to preserve the cleanliness of the city and its general appearance, stressing at the same time that legal measures will be taken against those who deliberately cause harm by trespassing or throwing waste and obstacles in the city’s streets.
