After months of long suffering with an incurable illness, the well-known Adani writer and journalist Farid Sahbi died on the first Friday of Ramadan.

Sahbi held important positions in a number of Aden newspapers throughout more than 50 years in his journalistic career.

My friend suffered for more than two years from an incurable illness without any helping hand being extended to him by any state or government official or other leaders.

The strange thing is that after his death, condolences poured in from all state leaders and officials for his death, without any assistance being provided to treat him during the past months.
