In Abyan Governorate, maintenance and rehabilitation work continues on a number of streets in the city of Zanzibar, with funding from the World Bank through the United Nations Office for Project Service (UNOPS), and under the supervision of the Second Emergency Project for Urban Services Implementation Unit of the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund.

The projects include the street extending from Doglan Roundabout to Khaleeji Stadium 20 Roundabout, the Agriculture Street connecting Shaqra Roundabout to Farzah, the street extending from Al Badia Roundabout to Hisn Shaddad Roundabout, and from Al Badia Roundabout to Al Koz Roundabout.
