A citizen was killed in an exchange of fire in the center of the capital, Sanaa; In an incident that reflects the increase in crimes and security chaos.
According to local sources, an altercation broke out between the citizen “Ahmed Ali Hazam Al-Radmi,” a car broker, and “Faraj Abdo Al-Mayo,” which led to the latter’s death near the central prison in Sana’a.
The argument was the result of a financial dispute over the sale of a car, where Al-Radmi pledged to guarantee a remaining amount to Al-Mio, who later tried to recover the amount. The dispute developed into physical violence, as Al-Radmi fatally stabbed Al-Mio, and in an attempt to defend himself, the two parties exchanged fire, which led to their injuries.
Al-Mio was transferred to Azal Hospital, where he died of his wounds, while Al-Radhmi received treatment at Al-Mutahidoon Hospital before the security services arrested him.
This incident embodies the profound psychological effects of war on citizens, as violence and resorting to weapons have become commonplace.
Following the incident, notables and tribal sheikhs from the Al-Jawf tribes gathered to pressure the authorities to take quick legal measures against Al-Radhmi, demanding that justice be achieved and that the death sentence be carried out as retribution in accordance with Sharia law.
