Saving a family from a massive fire that broke out in their home in the city of Ma’rib

A joint team from the Civil Defense Department and the Patrol Police in Ma’rib Governorate was able to save a family from a massive fire that broke out in their home in a neighborhood in the city of Ma’rib, northern Yemen
A source in the command and control room of the Ma’rib Governorate Police said: It was reported that a massive fire had broken out in a house in the Al-Qasr neighborhood in the center of the city, so the Civil Defense Department was directed to move its teams to the scene of the fire to extinguish it.
Noting that a patrol belonging to the patrol police was close to the fire site, it began the process of rescuing the residents of the burning house before the civil defense teams began dealing with the fire upon their arrival at the place, evacuating the neighboring houses, and providing first aid to the residents of the house who suffocated as a result of the fire.
For his part, the Director of the Civil Defense Authority Branch in Ma’rib Governorate, Colonel Abdullah Al-Shaflot, explained that the Civil Defense teams succeeded during the past two days in extinguishing three fire incidents that broke out in separate areas in the city of Ma’rib without recording any casualties in those incidents.
