A woman cleaning worker died while fasting while she was doing her duty on a street in Ibb Governorate.

Local sources said that a woman contracted with the Cleaning Fund named “Samah” died while fasting shortly before sunset yesterday in a neighborhood in the city of Ibb while she was cleaning the neighborhood.

The sources indicated that the cleaning worker suffered a sudden heart attack and died immediately, which caused widespread societal shock.

Activists demanded that workers’ conditions be taken into account during the fasting period, that working hours and shifts be set for them, and that they not be forced to work continuously because that would put their lives at risk.
