The College of Languages and Translation at the University of Aden organized the scientific workshop on the occasion of yesterday’s International Translation Day.

Expressing his congratulations to the Deanship, cadres and students of the College of Languages on the occasion of International Translation Day, which falls today, Saturday, an official holiday. The President of the University of Aden affirmed his support for all the demands of the university’s faculty members, but in ways that take into account the rights of students and without harming their educational future or stopping their studies at the university.
He said: The University of Aden has and will continue, with God’s will and the insistence of its members, to be a beacon of light in maintaining the educational process in all its colleges. For his part, Professor Dr. Jamal Al-Jaadani, Dean of the College of Languages and Translation, welcomed the participants in the scientific workshop, stressing the importance represented by holding the scientific workshop on the occasion of International Translation Day, which comes within the framework of the college keeping pace with everything new in the scientific revolution that develops every day.
Noting that the scientific workshop will discuss “12” working papers, including two papers by the most famous translation scholars in the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, in addition to the participation of ten researchers with scientific papers from the universities of Aden, Lahj and Abyan.
He touched on the scientific workshops organized by the college to evaluate the programs of the courses taught in it and prepare to organize a scientific workshop in this field on December 14, 2023.
A speech was given about the participants by Dr. Mushtaq Jawdat from Lahj University, in which he pointed out the importance of the working papers that will be discussed in the workshop, praising the efforts of the College of Languages and Translation, which was the first to revive this scientific event to discuss topics related to the importance of translation in communication between nations, peoples and civilizations.
