Dead and wounded from government forces and the Houthi militia in confrontations in Marib and Al-Dhalea

Violent clashes broke out between Yemeni government forces and the Houthi militia on a number of fronts in Ma’rib and Al-Dhalea governorates.
Military sources in Marib reported that clashes broke out between army forces and the Houthi militia in various locations south of Marib, resulting in deaths and injuries on both sides.
According to the sources, clashes took place in locations in Jabal al-Balq and its surroundings, during which a soldier was killed and another from the government forces was wounded, and a number of militia militants were also killed and wounded, while other sources spoke of the death of at least eight militia members during the confrontations.
Field sources indicated that the Houthi militia pushed military reinforcements to the vicinity of Marib during the past two days, while targeting the city with a Balitsi missile yesterday evening without causing damage.
In a separate context, two soldiers were killed and three others from the joint forces were injured as a result of the outbreak of violent confrontations west of Al Dhalea Governorate.
Military sources said that confrontations broke out between the joint forces stationed on the contact lines on the Al-Fakher Front and the Houthi militia.
According to the sources, the confrontations resulted in the death and injury of five members of the joint forces, while more than eight members of the militia were killed, in addition to the damage to military vehicles.
From time to time, confrontations are renewed on the Al-Dhalea fronts, as the militia continues to block the main and secondary roads between the city of Qataba and Ibb.
These confrontations come in the wake of movements by the UN envoy during the past days and weeks to revive peace efforts and build on what was achieved in the negotiations of the solution map to end the war under the auspices of the United Nations.
For weeks, the Houthi militia has been recruiting new fighters in areas under its control, claiming to support the Palestinian people in Gaza in the face of the Israeli aggression.
