The people of Crater city mourned the body of the two-year-old girl, Shams, this Sunday afternoon.
The funeral procession started from Al-Rehab Mosque in Kartir, where prayers were performed for her to be buried in the herd cemetery.
Hundreds of citizens participated in the funeral ceremony.
The child, Shams, was kidnapped by a mentally ill young man two weeks ago, who then killed her.
The incident sparked popular condemnation of the heinousness of this crime.
