The Chairman of the Presidential Command Council, His Excellency Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, issued Presidential Decree No. (73) of 2024, appointing Brigadier General Qaid Atef Saleh as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for the Human and Financial Resources Sector, and promoting him to the rank of Major General.

The first article of the decision stipulated the appointment of Brigadier General Qaid Atef Saleh Yahya as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for the Human and Financial Resources Sector, and his promotion to the rank of Major General. The second article stipulated that this decision be effective from the date of its issuance and be published in the Official Gazette and military and security bulletins.
