The Road Fund reopens roads blocked by floods between Abyan and Shabwa

The Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund reopened 9 sites on the main line linking Abyan and Shabwa after the floods cut them off, as a result of heavy rains witnessed in many northern and eastern governorates.
The Emergency Maintenance Department removed the sand and opened the roads, and 7 trucks belonging to the Fund participated in the work of opening the roads.
An operations room was formed in the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund under the leadership of Engineer Moeen Almas, and coordination was made with the Public Works Office in Abyan to prepare for opening the roads.
The technical teams began the work of opening the roads for car traffic.
