Grundberg calls for continued international support for the peace process in Yemen

The UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, called on the international community to continue supporting the path to a peaceful solution to the conflict in Yemen.
Grundberg's office said that the UN envoy concluded a visit to Moscow on Friday, during which he held talks with senior Russian officials and met with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Sergei Vershinin, and the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Envoy to the Middle East, Mikhail Bogdanov.
The UN envoy reviewed the recent efforts made to support the Yemeni parties to reach an agreement on a road map and to implement their commitments to a ceasefire, measures to improve living conditions in Yemen, and to resume an inclusive political process under the auspices of the United Nations.
The discussions addressed the recent developments in Yemen and the region and their impact on the progress of peace efforts, expressing his appreciation for the unity of the Security Council in supporting peace efforts in Yemen.
