Today, in the capital, Aden, the Minister of Finance, Salem Bin Brik, chaired an expanded meeting that included general managers of government and private banks, to discuss the level of progress of the process of disbursing state employees’ salaries through qualified banks, and highlighted the difficulties they faced and the necessary treatments.
The meeting, with the participation of Deputy Minister of Finance Hani Wahab, and a number of deputy ministers, reviewed the efforts of the government and the Ministry of Finance in implementing a package of comprehensive reforms aimed at combating corruption in state institutions, enhancing state resources, and achieving economic stability and improvement... stressing the need for banks to adhere to all procedures and circulars issued. On the part of the Ministry of Finance regarding the process of disbursing salaries through banks, and providing all necessary facilities for employees to receive their salaries smoothly, and to continue disbursing salaries successfully.
Minister Ben Brik touched on the overall economic and financial conditions in the country... reiterating the importance of government corrective measures and the grant provided by our brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support the state’s general budget, and the importance of adhering to the mechanisms and requirements of the grant in order to contribute to improving general conditions, especially Alleviating suffering in the humanitarian and service fields.
The Minister of Finance also stressed the Ministry’s keenness to make the process of disbursing salaries through banks a success, and the importance of strengthening coordination between the Ministry and the banks to take quick solutions to any problems that employees may face when receiving their salaries... stressing the need for banks to adhere to all conditions for disbursing salaries and not to violate them.
