Al-Mahra announces the increase in readiness and activates the emergency committee to confront the "air depression"

The Director General of Haswain District in Al-Mahra Governorate, Sheikh Yasser Abdullah Al-Assad, yesterday evening, Wednesday, directed the government sectors to raise preparedness and activate the main and subsidiary emergency committees in the district.
Al-Assad called on members of civil committees to warn citizens to stay away from flood streams and valley bottoms, and to warn fishermen against going to sea.
The Director General reassured all citizens that the weather forecast does not cause concern, especially for the Haswain District.
He added, "These steps are a precautionary measure, and in implementation of the directives of the local authority in the governorate to take the necessary precautions during this period in which Al-Mahra and a number of Republican governorates are affected by a state of instability in the atmosphere."
The Early Warning Center had expected, in a statement, that the coming hours would witness rainfall of varying intensity, reaching heavy levels, in the deserts, plateaus, and coasts of the governorates of Al-Mahra, Hadramaut, and Shabwa, in addition to parts of the central, northern, and western governorates.
