An explosive device kills a child in Marib

A child was killed as a result of the explosion of an explosive device while he was playing with it in one of the villages of the Sarwah District, west of Ma’rib Governorate.
The National Landmine Observatory said that the child, "Abdulmalik Abdullah Al-Zaidi" - 13 years old, was killed yesterday, Saturday, as a result of the explosion of an explosive device from remnants planted by the terrorist Houthi militia in Wadi Rahb in the Dhawar isolation of the Sarwah District, west of Ma'rib.
The Observatory indicated that the explosive device exploded while the child “Abdul-Malik” was playing with it, after he found it near their house in Wadi Rahb, Sarwah District, and resulted in the child’s body being torn apart.
Yesterday, the Observatory revealed that “a family of 18 members, including women and children, survived the explosion of two mines in two cars while they were passing through the (Kilo 16) area in Hodeidah.”
He explained that the family of the citizen "Ali Ahmed Hassan", from Ibb Governorate, were on a trip to visit their farm on board 3 cars, and two mines exploded in two cars, and they all survived, while a child suffered a minor injury.
The Observatory indicated that the incident caused the destruction of the two cars, while engineering teams following the incident were able to extract several mines from the place.
Earlier, the Observatory warned citizens of mines and munitions that are being swept away by torrents into populated areas and the vicinity of displacement camps, coinciding with the start of the rainy season, which has reached heavy levels in a number of Yemeni governorates, causing torrential torrential rains.
Houthi mines are claiming the lives of hundreds of Yemenis, the majority of them women and children, in the various governorates that the militias have reached.
