Meteorology: Thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected in several governorates

The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning expects thunderstorms of varying intensity, some of which will be heavy, leading to torrential rains flowing over the deserts and plateaus of the governorates of Shabwa, Hadramaut, and Al-Mahra, and in the governorates of Sana’a, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Al-Dhalea, Lahj Heights, Abyan, and Al-Bayda. Marib and Al-Jawf.
It is also expected that scattered rains of varying intensity, sometimes accompanied by thunder, will fall in parts of the governorates of Amran, Al Mahwit, Hajjah and Saada. The rains will also include the southern and eastern coasts in general and the inland areas adjacent to them.
The center reported that the amount of rain that fell during the past 24 hours, and was measured at some weather monitoring stations, amounted to: 30.2 mm in Al Mahwit, Ibb: 25, Sayun: 14.6, Taiz: 7.5, Hajjah: 7.4, Ibb - Baadan: 5 Emancipation: 1.8
The amounts of precipitation in the capital’s secretariat ranged between 1.5 - 22.2 mm, and scattered rains fell, some of them heavy, as a result of which torrential rains poured into areas of the valley and deserts of Hadhramaut and on Al-Mahra, Shabwa, Abyan, Al-Bayda, Hajjah, Amran, east of Saada, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, It was outside the range of monitoring stations.
The Center warned citizens in areas where rain is expected to occur about the flow of torrents into reefs and valleys and advised against crossing them or being in their streams.
He also warned of lightning strikes, collapses, and rock and mud slides, and of low horizontal visibility due to rain, low clouds, fog, and water mulch, and strong winds descending from nimbus clouds and falling hail.
The Center called on the relevant authorities, each according to their position and specialty, to take the necessary measures to protect lives and property.
