Civilians were injured by the explosion of a military object that was swept away by floods in Shabwa

Two civilians, including a child, were injured, on Tuesday, as a result of the explosion of a military object, which was swept away by torrents in the Shabwa Governorate, east of the country.
The Yemeni Mine Observatory said in a statement that two civilians, including a child (14 years old), were injured separately, As a result of the explosion of a military object that was swept away by torrents to the area of “Saila Wadi Bayhan in Bayhan District, Shabwa Governorate.”
The Observatory renewed its warnings to citizens in the districts of Bayhan (Shabwa), Harib (Ma’rib), and (Numan) in Al Bayda, of the danger of mines and ammunition that were swept away. Floods from polluted sites reached several populated and agricultural areas in these districts.
He also appealed to parents to educate their children not to tamper with any foreign objects and to report them.
