The Community Peace Commission in Mukalla successfully concludes the communication and strategic communication course

The Community Peace Commission in the city of Mukalla concluded this morning the communication and strategic communication course, which it organized in partnership with the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The session, which lasted for three days, was attended by representatives of local and judicial authorities, members of the Community Peace Commission, and members of community committees in the Mukalla City Directorate.
The course aimed to enhance the participants’ skills in the field of communication and strategic communication, and enable them to use effective communication tools to resolve conflicts and build peace in society.
The course included theoretical lectures and practical exercises on various aspects of communication and strategic communication, including the concept and importance of communication in the life of society, the main elements of the communication process and its types, and the obstacles to communication and its channels. And a number of related topics.
The Chief Program Officer at the Democratic Institute, Mr. Muhammad Saleh Al-Kathiri, stressed the importance of the training courses organized by the Authority to enhance the capabilities of its members and members of community committees, pointing to the role of communication skills and strategic communication in resolving conflicts and building peace.
For his part, Dr. Muhammad bin Jumaan, the trainer in the course, thanked the Community Peace Commission, the National Democratic Institute (NDI), and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for their support of this course.
Dr. Bin Jamaan expressed his hope that the participants would benefit from this course in their work in the field of conflict resolution and peacebuilding.
