17 soldiers from the southern armed forces were killed and wounded in a terrorist attack east of Abyan

Six soldiers were killed and 11 others were seriously injured, today, Monday, as a result of a terrorist bombing that targeted a military patrol belonging to the 3rd Support and Support Brigade at the “Al-Quz” Junction in the Mudiyah District, east of Abyan Governorate.
According to military sources, the explosive device planted by Al-Qaeda exploded as a military patrol belonging to the brigade passed through the area, killing 6 soldiers and seriously wounding 11 others.
This terrorist bombing comes as part of a series of attacks launched by Al-Qaeda against the southern armed forces in Abyan Governorate, in a desperate attempt to hinder the cleansing efforts carried out by the forces against terrorist elements in the governorate.
The Southern Armed Forces have strengthened their presence in Abyan Governorate during the recent period, and carried out a number of military operations that inflicted heavy losses on the ranks of Al-Qaeda.
