Massive anger in Aden after the power outage reached 10 continuous hours

A wave of overwhelming anger swept across the people of the city of Aden this evening, after the power outage reached 10 continuous hours, as a result of a large deficit in generating stations due to the running out of fuel and crude oil on which the PetroMasila station, the largest generating station in Aden, depends.
The deterioration of the electricity service prompted a large number of citizens to go out this evening in angry demonstrations, blocking a main street near Aden Airport, to express their dissatisfaction with the ongoing power outages.
The Aden Electricity Corporation had announced, earlier today, that the PetroMasila station had completely stopped working, due to the running out of raw fuel. The corporation explained that its inability to provide fuel to the station led to the exacerbation of the power outage crisis in the city.
Hours after the PetroMasila station stopped, the Electricity Corporation announced that the station would return to work again, tomorrow, Thursday, after supplying it with quantities of fuel.
Despite the Electricity Corporation’s promises to improve the situation, citizens still have fears about the continuation of the power outage crisis, especially with the continued fuel shortage in the country, the arrival of summer and the high temperature.
The deterioration of the electricity service has led to increasing suffering for the residents of the city of Aden, as frequent power outages have greatly affected their daily lives, hindering their work and disrupting their studies. The residents are calling on the relevant authorities to find radical solutions to the electricity crisis and improve services in general.
