Al-Alimi directs urgent intervention to mitigate the effects of climate change in Al-Mahra

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, on Friday, made a telephone call to the Governor of Al-Mahra Governorate, Muhammad Ali Yasser, in order to check on the conditions in the governorate, which has been witnessing heavy rains and torrential rains for days, due to the low air condition and the unusual weather condition. The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council heard from the Governor of Al-Mahra, an initial briefing on the damage caused by the torrential rains to public and private property, agricultural holdings, roads, infrastructure, and basic services in the city of Al-Ghaydah and various parts of the governorate, in addition to the coordinated efforts. The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council issued directives to the Prime Minister, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, assigning the Ministry of Public Works, its affiliated institutions, and the concerned authorities to intervene urgently to open internal and international roads, and resume Operating basic services, and beginning the rehabilitation of destroyed infrastructure.
