The Road and Bridge Maintenance Fund rescues those stranded on the Wadi Hassan Bridge in Abyan

The teams of the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works and Roads, succeeded a short while ago in removing all those stranded from the Wadi Hassan Bridge in Abyan Governorate, after they were stranded due to the torrential floods coming from the mountains and valleys of the northern governorate.
As soon as the Fund's teams received a report of people stranded on the bridge, they went to the site of the event, where they worked to evacuate all those stranded in complete safety. The rescue operation was carried out successfully thanks to the efforts made by the Fund’s teams, and in coordination with other competent authorities.
After removing all those trapped, the technical teams of the implementing agency will begin the work of removing flood debris from the entrances and exits of Wadi Hassan Bridge. Work will be done to reopen the bridge to traffic as soon as possible.
