Local sources in the city of Taiz reported that a city police officer survived an assassination attempt west of the city.

 The sources reported that gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on the car of the deputy director of the Dhabab Police Department, Colonel Samir Muhammad Ahmed, while he was passing through the Habeel Salman area.
