The Houthis threaten to stop Marib oil if they do not get their share of it

The Houthi group threatened to stop the production and export of Marib oil and prevent access to it, unless it obtains its share of it.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Iranian-backed group’s government, Hussein Al-Ezzi, wrote on Saturday, on the “X” platform, in a threatening tone: “ Do you think that we should stop the oil in Marib and prevent approaching it, as we did in other places, until the people in our free zones are given their full share?”, as he put it. Al-Ezzi said that the local authority in the northeastern governorate “controls Marib’s oil, while 90% of the people are completely deprived, as if it were the private property of Al-Arada and the Islah Party.”
He considered that the local authority in Marib monopolizes the governorate’s oil wealth “without any shame or feeling.” "Guilty," he described.
He added: "I think it is better to leave oil and gas in the ground, and import them from abroad as we do until God fixes the matter," claiming that "this is justice."
